Our Business Model Comes First
The Points King’s business is buying and selling airline miles and hotel points directly, as a principal. When you sell us your miles, we are the buyer; when you buy miles from us, we are the seller. We are not a referral site that sends you to someone else and collects a fee for the introduction. That direct, buy-sell relationship is the entirety of how we make money, as described in full on our How We Make Money page.
We Do Not Use Affiliate or Referral Links
The Points King does not currently run any affiliate or referral links. We do not earn a commission for sending you to a credit card issuer, airline, hotel program, or travel service. Nothing on this site, including our Miles Blog, is monetized that way today.
If that ever changes, we will update this page first, and we will label any affiliate or referral link directly in the post where it appears.
Our Recommendations Are Independent
Because we are not paid by any airline, hotel chain, or credit card issuer, our point valuations, program comparisons, and advice reflect our own transaction data and market research, not a commission structure. Our editorial standards are set out in full on our Editorial Policy page.
