Buy Delta SkyMiles: Priced in Writing Before You Pay
By Joseph Hellman-Benjamin, Founder and CEO of The Points King. Last updated: October 12, 2026. Editorial Policy
The Points King sells Delta SkyMiles. You tell us how many miles you need (the minimum is 50,000), we email you a price per mile in writing, and nothing is charged until you accept. Payment is by PayPal. Before you ask us for a price, read what Delta’s rules say and compare our price with Delta’s own, both below.
Before You Buy: Know the Risk
Delta’s rules prohibit the sale or barter of miles and award tickets, and Delta can deduct miles obtained that way and void tickets issued with them, as The Points Guy summarizes Delta’s SkyMiles rules. That risk sits with the account holder and the traveler, and no broker, including us, can remove it. Buying directly from Delta carries no rule risk. Read the risks of buying and selling miles before you decide.
Our price guarantee: the price we agree with you in writing by email is the price you pay.

Cheaper Ways to Get Delta Miles First
- Amex Membership Rewards: transfers to Delta at 1:1, usually instantly, with a fee of $0.0006 a point up to $99 a transfer (The Points Guy). If you hold Amex points, use them first.
- Marriott Bonvoy: 3 points to 1 mile.
- A friend or relative with Delta miles: they can book the award in your name at no cost, or transfer miles to you for 1 cent a mile plus $30 a transaction (Delta).
What Delta Miles Are Worth
About 1.2 cents each, according to NerdWallet’s 2026 valuation (NerdWallet). Delta prices awards dynamically, so the same seat can cost very different amounts on different days. Buying miles pays off only when you have found a specific award worth more per mile than you pay. Use our buy miles vs. cash calculator to check.
