The Points King buys Chase Ultimate Rewards points for cash, paid by PayPal. You get a written price per point by email before you move anything, and that price is what you receive. Before you sell, read what Chase’s own terms say about it, below.
Before you sell: know the risk
Chase’s Sapphire Preferred Ultimate Rewards Program Agreement lists “buying or selling points” as misuse of the program. It says points are not your property, that you will immediately lose all your points if your account is closed for misuse, and that a transfer to a travel partner cannot be canceled once made. No broker can remove that risk, and we cannot promise how Chase will respond to a sale.

Price guarantee: the price per point we agree by email before you transfer is the amount you receive.
What We Pay for Chase Points
We currently pay about 1.1 to 1.4 cents per Chase Ultimate Rewards point, depending on balance size and demand. The minimum we buy is 50,000 points. Your exact rate is the one in your written quote.
Which Chase Points We Buy
- Points earned on the Chase Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business and Ink Business Preferred.
- Points earned on Freedom, Freedom Unlimited, Freedom Flex and Ink Business Unlimited cards. These cards earn Ultimate Rewards points but cannot transfer to travel partners on their own; Chase lets you combine them with a Sapphire or Ink Preferred account first.
What Your Chase Points Are Worth Before You Sell
Chase’s own floor is 1 cent per point: its program agreement says each point is worth $0.01 when redeemed for cash. Transferred to a partner like United, Hyatt or Air Canada Aeroplan, points can be worth more; The Points Guy’s October 2026 valuation puts them at 2.05 cents.
So, plainly: if you will use your points for a good award flight or hotel stay, that usually beats any cash offer, including ours. Selling makes more sense if you will not travel, are closing your card, or would otherwise cash out at 1 cent. See the full list of Chase transfer partners before you decide.
How Selling Chase Points Works
- Request a quote. Fill out the form with your balance. No obligation.
- Get the price in writing. We email a per-point price. That price is what you receive.
- Complete the transfer. We send step-by-step instructions by email.
- Get paid by PayPal. Usually within 15 minutes once the transfer is confirmed. If the transfer takes longer on your end, payment follows as soon as it is done.
When Selling Chase Points Does Not Make Sense
- You have a trip coming up that the points could cover.
- Your balance is under 50,000 points.
- You cannot afford to lose your relationship with Chase if it acts on its terms.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you sell Chase Ultimate Rewards points?
Brokers, including us, buy them. Chase’s program agreement prohibits it, so the account holder carries the risk of Chase closing the account and taking the points.
Is it illegal to sell Chase points?
It is a breach of Chase’s contract, not a crime under federal law. Joseph’s research paper on selling miles and points covers the legal picture in detail.
How much are 100,000 Chase points worth?
$1,000 as cash back through Chase, at 1 cent each. Our cash offer for the same balance is in your written quote; a strong transfer redemption can be worth more than either.
Can I sell points from a Chase Freedom card?
Yes, once they sit in an Ultimate Rewards account. The quote is the same per point.
What happens to my points if Chase closes my account?
If the closure is for misuse, Chase’s agreement says you lose all points immediately. For other closures, you get at least 30 days to use them.
How fast do you pay?
Usually within 15 minutes after the transfer is confirmed, by PayPal.
