Which Chase Cards Can Transfer Points

Only four cards transfer to partners: Sapphire Preferred, Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business and Ink Business Preferred. Freedom cards and Ink Business Unlimited earn Ultimate Rewards points, but you must combine them into one of those four accounts before transferring.

Recent Changes

  • Emirates left Chase’s partner list in October 2025.
  • Hyatt became 4:3 for Sapphire Preferred and Ink Business Preferred on October 1, 2026, and immediately for new applicants from June 15, 2026. Sapphire Reserve cards keep 1:1.

Before You Transfer

Chase’s Ultimate Rewards program agreement says that once points are transferred, they cannot be refunded and the transaction cannot be canceled. Check award availability on the partner’s site before moving anything.

If You Would Rather Have Cash

A good transfer redemption is usually worth more than cash. If you will not use your points for travel, Chase pays 1 cent per point as cash back, and some cardholders sell their points instead. If you are weighing that, read what Chase’s terms say about selling points first.
